Dr. Vanessa Maybeck is a Principal Investigator (PI) and Group Leader at the Institute of Biological Information Processing (IBI), Forschungszentrum Jülich, specializing in Bioelectronics (IBI-3). She leads the Cell Engineering Group, focusing on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of molecular genetics, electrophysiology, and neuroscience. Her work investigates cellular information processing through in vitro neural networks using optogenetic tools and extracellular sensing devices.
