Professor Vanessa Heaslip is a Professor of Nursing and Healthcare Equity at the University of Salford's School of Health & Society. Her research focuses on health inequity, social exclusion, and marginalized groups such as Gypsy, Roma, Traveller communities, homeless individuals, and incarcerated mothers. She leads the Centre for Applied Health Research and chairs the Adult Social Care Nursing program (2024-2029). Her work integrates qualitative methods to address systemic disparities and improve healthcare access.
