Vanessa Cooper is a Professor in the Department of Accounting, Information Systems & Supply Chain at RMIT University. Her research focuses on the intersection of information systems with environmental sustainability, emergency management, and the future of work. She co-leads the 'Digital Work and Society' research program at the Centre for People, Organisation and Work (CPOW), addressing digital ethics, flexible work models, and underrepresentation in the IT industry.

Vanessa’s research has attracted over AUD $1.5M in funding and includes partnerships with the Bushfire CRC, Emergency Management Victoria, and the Australian Library and Information Association.
