Dr. Vanessa Anthony-Stevens is Associate Professor of Social and Cultural Studies at University of Idaho. As Principal Investigator of IKEEP, she develops programs preparing Indigenous educators for leadership roles. Her PhD from University of Arizona focused on Language, Reading and Culture.
Research examines Indigenous educational sovereignty through critical methodologies, with emphasis on culturally sustaining pedagogies and language reclamation. Current projects investigate decolonizing teacher preparation and tribal nation building through education.
Recent publications explore Latinx educational experiences and Indigenous research methodologies. Scholarship consistently bridges academic research with community-centered educational transformation.
