Vanessa Albus serves as Professor of Philosophy Didactics at Paderborn University within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Department of Philosophy Didactics. She has held this position since 2020, following a substitute professorship at the same institution from 2019-2020. Previously, she held academic positions at the University of Duisburg-Essen where she completed her habilitation in 2012.
Her research interests focus on Philosophy Didactics, Canon Research, Metaphorology, and 18th Century Philosophy. Dr. Albus has developed specialized approaches to gender-sensitive philosophy teaching, autobiographical philosophical reflection in educational settings, and the intersection of culinary arts with philosophical practice.
