Vanesa Benković

Vanesa Benković is a Senior Lecturer at Edward Bernays Polytechnic, where she teaches Methodology of Scientific Research, Statistics, Sociology of the Digital Society, and Marketing Research since 2013. She holds a music degree from the Catholic Theological Faculty in Zagreb (2000), a master's in Healthcare Management from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb (2008), and a doctorate in Sociology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb (2017), focusing on health inequalities.

Her research expertise spans health economic analyses, pharmacoeconomics, and advanced modeling of health technologies. She has conducted studies on disease burden in Croatia and the region, and contributed to European projects such as Patient Safety & Quality (PaSQ), Urban Health Centers Europe, and Cross Border Patient Registries Initiative (PARENT). She also works with the World Bank-funded Ministry of Health project and Friedrich Ebert Foundation on health systems effectiveness in Central and Eastern Europe.

Dr. Benković is a frequent invited speaker at international conferences and publishes in methodology, sociology, and health economics. She is currently employed at Novo Nordisk Croatia while maintaining academic roles at the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry in Zagreb, teaching Pharmacoeconomics and Health Financing.
