Lana Ciboci Perša

Assoc. Prof. Lana Ciboci Perša holds positions at Edward Bernays Polytechnic and the Faculty of Teacher Education under the University of Zagreb. She specializes in media studies, with a focus on media literacy, children's media interactions, media violence, and the legal/ethical dimensions of mass media. She is actively involved in civil society and academia, serving as Vice-President of the Society for Communication and Media Culture and President of the Main Committee for Social Sciences at the Council of Polytechnics/Colleges of Croatia. In 2017, her association received a Special Jury Award from the Evens Foundation for media education initiatives in Europe.

Awarded as one of the best-rated lecturers at Bernays in recent years, she emphasizes practical and ethical media engagement. Her academic contributions include editing books, publishing over 15 scientific papers, and leading national/international projects like EU Kids Online, Mind Over Media, and the DIMLE eBook Project. She advocates for informal media education targeting children, parents, teachers, and school professionals.
