Professor Vali Lalioti directs programmes at UAL's Creative Computing Institute, pioneering XR/robotics research with applications in performing arts, healthcare, and education. Her innovations include BBC's first AR production (RTS Award winner) and VR platforms for musicians during COVID-19.
Robotics research examines culturally-informed movement design and human-robot interaction. She leads UKRI projects bridging creative practice and technology, and develops new robotics/AI courses at UAL.
Supervises PhD projects on robotic garments, VR painting, and plant-human symbiosis. Founder of The Innovation Consultancy advising FTSE-100 companies globally.
