Dr. Valerio Scagnoli is a Senior Scientist at the Mesoscopic Systems group within ETH Zurich and the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI). After studying physics at the University of Rome La Sapienza, he earned his PhD in Natural Sciences from ETH Zurich for research on metal-insulator transitions. His career spans postdoctoral work at the European Radiation Facility and leadership in ultrafast magnetic experiments at PSI.
