Dr. Valerie Worthington is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University, part of the College of Integrative Medicine and Health Sciences. She holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College (1992) and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Michigan State University (1999). Her expertise spans coaching, life coaching ethics, positive psychology, and mindfulness. She is also a fourth-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with over two decades of teaching and coaching experience in martial arts and academia.
