Valerie Mueller is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University's School of Politics and Global Studies, specializing in agricultural economics and climate change adaptation. She also serves as a Senior Global Futures Scientist within the Global Futures Scientists and Scholars program and is affiliated with ASU's Water Institute.

Mueller's work has been published in top journals like Nature Climate Change, PNAS, and American Economic Review, with media coverage in outlets such as Le Monde and Science. She maintains active engagement with policymakers and donor communities while continuing field research.
