Valerie Krage

Valerie Krage is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She specializes in early childhood education, family engagement, and the impact of poverty on learning. Her work integrates inclusive teaching strategies and community engagement.

• BA, Child Development and Family Life, University of Wisconsin-Stout (Undergraduate)

Research Interests: Dr. Krage focuses on early childhood development, particularly how systemic poverty and toxic stress affect learning outcomes. She advocates for family-centered educational practices and has researched parent-teacher collaboration in Title I schools.

Advising & Service: Supervises student teaching and has served on committees such as TEDxUWLaCrosse and the UWL delegation for the UW System Faculty College. She is UWL's faculty representative to the UWSA OPID Council (2023–2026).
