Valerie Hogan is an Associate Professor and Program Director in the Department of Physical Therapy at Augusta University's College of Allied Health Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh (2016), a DPT from Slippery Rock University (2008), and is a certified orthopaedic specialist with expertise in dance rehabilitation.
Research Interests: Her work spans orthopaedic/sports rehabilitation, lower extremity biomechanics, dance medicine, physical therapy education, and evidence-based practice. She investigates injury mechanisms in athletes, cancer rehabilitation outcomes, and biomechanical assessments.

Service & Leadership: She chairs the Department Research Committee, serves on university athletics committees, and contributes to professional organizations like the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science. She also sits on the Augusta Ballet board.
