Eric Hegedus is a Professor and Chair of Rehabilitation Sciences at Tufts University School of Medicine's Department of Rehabilitation Sciences. He has a 34-year career as a leader in physical therapist education, research, and clinical practice, founding programs such as Tufts DPT-Atlanta and Tufts DPT-Phoenix. His research focuses on musculoskeletal and sports physical therapy, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to clinical practice guidelines for shoulder instability. Awards include the APTA's James a Gould Teaching Award and multiple Duke teaching recognitions.
