Valeria Gontareva

Valeria Gontareva serves as a Visiting Senior Fellow at the School of Public Policy, The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), leveraging her extensive background in economic governance and financial regulation. Previously, she made history as Ukraine's first female Governor of the National Bank (2014-2017), where she spearheaded critical reforms including inflation targeting, flexible exchange rate implementation, and comprehensive banking sector restructuring.

Her research and policy expertise centers on:
