Valentina Tartari is an Associate Professor at Copenhagen Business School's Department of Strategy and Innovation and concurrently holds a Professorship at the Stockholm School of Economics since April 2023. Her research focuses on academic careers, gender dynamics in academia, international mobility patterns of researchers, and boundary spanning in organizational networks. She contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through her work on equitable academic policies and innovation ecosystems.
Her research explores how autonomy provisions and mobility requirements influence early-career researchers, the impact of motherhood on academic performance, and the interplay between international mobility and entrepreneurial activities among scientists. She has published widely in journals like Research Policy and presented at major conferences such as the Academy of Management Annual Meeting.
Her work highlights systemic challenges in academia, including gender disparities and the need for supportive policies for researchers' career development. Tartari collaborates internationally, with research networks spanning multiple countries and institutions.
