Dr. Valentina Migliarini is an Assistant Professor in Education Studies at the University of Birmingham, affiliated with the School of Education's Department of Education and Social Justice. Her work focuses on equitable education for multiply marginalized communities, particularly disabled students from migrant and forced migrant backgrounds. She employs the Disability Critical Race Theory in Education (DisCrit) framework to examine inclusive policies and practices in European and U.S. education systems, challenging mainstream inclusion narratives that perpetuate micro-exclusions.
