Valentina Melentyeva is an Assistant Professor of Econometrics at Tilburg University and Research Project Leader at ROCKWOOL Foundation Berlin. Her research examines gender inequality, labor market dynamics, and policy impacts using advanced econometric methods.
Recent work analyzes child penalty variation by maternal age, evaluates gender quota effects on corporate boards, and unpacks heterogeneous impacts of subsidized employment programs. Methodologically, she employs difference-in-differences designs, regression discontinuity, and structural modeling to study labor market disparities.
Melentyeva teaches courses in panel data methods and quantitative policy evaluation. Her research contributes to understanding how family policies and labor market institutions shape gender gaps in economic outcomes.
