Ursina Schaede

Ursina Schaede is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Tufts University, affiliated with the School of Arts and Sciences. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich (2022), an MA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago (2016), and dual BAs in Economics and International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen (2013). Her research focuses on labor economics, particularly maternal labor supply dynamics, public policy impacts, and gender-related educational and labor market outcomes.

She teaches courses such as Basic Econometrics and has served as a research and teaching assistant. Recent work explores topics like part-time job availability's role in maternal employment and long-term effects of gender quotas in education. Schaede’s interdisciplinary approach bridges behavioral economics and policy analysis.
