Dr. Vaidehi Tandel is a Lecturer in Real Estate at the University of Manchester's Planning, Property and Environmental Management department. She previously held positions at the University of Reading and IDFC Institute, Mumbai, and worked as a postdoctoral scholar at Columbia University. Her research focuses on urban economics, real estate markets, political economy, and public finance in India.
Education: Doctor of Philosophy in Economics.
Research Interests: Urban development in India, housing market regulation, climate adaptation strategies for cities, flood risk management, and the intersection of property rights with socioeconomic outcomes.
