Vahram Mkhitaryan is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sculpture and Intermedia, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (ASP Gdańsk), since 2012. His academic journey includes a PhD in Fine Arts (Multimedia Artistic Creation studio) from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2016), supervised by Professor Stanisław Wieczorek.

- Co-founded the Interdisciplinary Department of Short Film and Video Forms (2023)
- Teaches 'Elements of Film Production' and 'Small Film Production' in Photography and Intermedia programs
His artistic practice focuses on exploring self-discovery through critical challenges, treating art as a tool rather than a goal. He emphasizes process-driven creation, interrogating boundaries of personal comfort and artistic expression.

He has received multiple scholarships from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the International Visegrad Fund (Bratislava), and the Minister of Education and Science for Outstanding Young Scientists.
