Dr. V. Lynn Tankersley serves as Professor of Criminal Justice and Program Coordinator for the B.S. in Criminal Justice Leadership and B.S. in Homeland Security and Emergency Management within Mercer University's Department of Leadership Studies, College of Professional Advancement.
Her academic foundation includes a PhD in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington (2006), complemented by an MS (1998) and BSW (1997) from the University of Texas at Austin. This social work background uniquely informs her criminal justice methodology.
Research interests span Criminal Justice Leadership, Homeland Security protocols, Emergency Management systems, Corrections rehabilitation strategies, and Social Work integration in law enforcement. Her interdisciplinary approach connects social services with security operations through practical field experience.
