Prof. Urszula Jankowiak, Ph.D., serves as a Professor of Vocal Performance at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where she has taught since 2005. A distinguished opera singer, she performed 53 operatic roles over 27 years as a principal soloist at the Grand Theatre in Poznań (1985-2012) and previously at the Grand Theatre in Łódź (1981-1985), with guest appearances across Poland's major opera houses.
She earned her vocal training from the Vocal and Acting Department of the Higher School of Music (now Academy of Music in Poznań) under Professor Irena Winiarska.
Her professional focus centers on vocal artistry in opera, chamber music, and oratorio traditions. She maintains an active international performance career spanning Germany, Great Britain, France, Luxembourg, Russia, Cuba, and Ukraine, specializing in works by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Moniuszko, Penderecki, and classical repertoire including Puccini, Mozart, and Verdi.
As an educator, she has mentored award-winning students who now perform as professional soloists in major theaters worldwide. Her current work balances teaching responsibilities with global concert tours and recitals.
