معرفی
Ursula Renate Riedner serves as Associate Professor in the Department of German, Nordic and Dutch Studies at Masaryk University's Faculty of Arts. She actively participates in academic governance as member of the Program Board for German Language and Literature programs (Bachelor's, Master's, and Secondary Teacher Education) and the Industry Council for Germanic literature.
Her research centers on German as a Foreign/Second Language (DaF/DaZ) with specialization in literature-aesthetic media integration, creative writing pedagogy, and critical approaches to language teaching. She develops innovative resources for handling sensitive topics like hurtful language through May Ayim's work, and explores memory studies in postcolonial contexts (particularly South Africa). Her scholarship bridges theoretical reflection with practical classroom applications.
Recent publications (2022-2025) reveal strong thematic continuity: creative-poetic language co-creation, digital transformation of language teaching through open-source didactics, and interdisciplinary frameworks at the language-literature-aesthetic media interface. She consistently addresses contemporary challenges in adult education while advancing theoretical foundations in subjectivity-oriented didactics.
As thesis supervisor, she guides Master's students at the language-literature-aesthetic media nexus. Her collaborative projects include the DHOCH3 Module 10 team and international partnerships with scholars like Michael Dobstadt, Katharina Herzig, and Valeria Vasquez, producing classroom materials for Roman Hodel's works and cross-linguistic translation practices.
