Urban Nothdurfter

Urban Nothdurfter is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. His research examines social policy, LGBTQ+ family studies, and the political dimensions of social work.

His recent work focuses on queer parenting in Italy, analyzing legal recognition pathways and social service interactions. He investigates how social workers navigate diverse family structures and promote inclusive practices within welfare systems.

Dr. Nothdurfter teaches courses on social work history, social policy, and international social work. His office hours are Tuesdays 11:00-12:00 at the Brixen-Bressanone campus, with additional availability by appointment.
