Dr. Upasak Das is a Senior Lecturer in Development Economics at the University of Manchester's Global Development Institute. His research examines poverty, education, and health economics using advanced econometric methods. Previously, he held positions at the University of Pennsylvania and Centre for Development Studies in India.
Research focuses on policy evaluation in developing economies. Recent publications examine education interventions, agricultural impacts on nutrition, and public health responses to epidemics. Awarded the Sanjay Lall Best Student Paper Award for work on rural development programs.
