Prof. Ulrike Wallrabe is the Head of the Institute of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) at Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg. Her research focuses on microsystems engineering, adaptive optical systems, and energy harvesting technologies. She leads projects such as ECOSENSE, developing distributed sensor networks for environmental monitoring. Her work integrates MEMS, nanotechnology, and wireless power transfer to advance applications in biomedical imaging, renewable energy, and smart materials.
Key research interests include cooperative microactuator systems, multistable magnetic actuators, and optomechanical devices.
