Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ulrike Lechner holds the Chair of Business Information Systems at the Faculty of Computer Science, Bundeswehr University Munich. After studying computer science in Passau, she held academic positions at the University of St. Gallen and University of Bremen before joining UniBw M in 2004. Her work focuses on IT security for critical infrastructures, enterprise architectures, and digital business models, particularly in food supply chains and cybersecurity education.

Her research includes blockchain tokenization for supply chains and gamified cybersecurity training platforms like Sifu. She has received multiple Best Paper Awards at international conferences (CyberICPS 2020, ICPEC 2020, FinTech Forum 2020). Recent projects include NutriSafe (funded by BMBF) and collaborations with Siemens, Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, and fortiss. She actively mentors students in master's programs and participates in STEM outreach initiatives like "Strong girls do MI(N)T!" workshops.
