Ulrich Dempwolff

Ulrich Dempwolff is a retired Professor of Mathematics at the University of Kaiserslautern, affiliated with the Department of Mathematics. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Mainz (1970) and a Habilitation from the University of Heidelberg (1973). His career at the University of Kaiserslautern began in 1976, and he retired in 2010.

Research focuses on finite groups, finite geometries, combinatorics, and algebraic structures. He has contributed to studies on hyperovals, translation planes, permutation polynomials, and symmetric designs. Notable work includes investigations into APN functions, bent functions, and incidence geometries.

Publications highlight expertise in finite field applications, design theory, and group-theoretic approaches to geometric configurations. His work spans over four decades with contributions to journals like 'Journal of Algebraic Combinatorics', 'Finite Fields and Their Applications', and 'Designs, Codes and Cryptography'.
