Ulla Prien serves as a Teaching Associate Professor in the Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Humanities. She teaches Arabic at all levels for Bachelor's and Master's programs in Middle Eastern Languages and Societies, as well as Open University evening and Saturday courses at propaedeutic and Bachelor's levels.
