Ulf Schött

Ulf Schött is an Associate Professor in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Lund University's Department of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, affiliated since 2007 after clinical roles at Örebro Regional Hospital and Halmstad County Hospital. Though retired from clinical work in 2024, he remains academically active in research, supervision, and publishing, with over 155 research outputs and 8 completed projects.

His research spans coagulation science, anticoagulant safety, and critical care physiology. Early work pioneered Plasmadex® (3% dextran 60) as a blood substitute, while recent studies investigate vitamin K-dependent proteins in critical illness, direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs), and viscoelastic coagulation monitoring via ROTEM.
