Ugo Bellagamba is a Lecturer at Université Côte d'Azur, affiliated with the Faculty of Law and Political Science. His research centers on the History of Law and Institutions, History of Justice, and Legal Anthropology, with a unique focus on Utopia, Dystopia, and Science Fiction in legal contexts.
- Director of the DU Violence against Women program since 2018
- Teaches courses on Legal Anthropology, History of Justice, and Public Speaking for Business Law
His work explores the intersection of legal culture and imaginative literature, analyzing how utopian and dystopian narratives critique or inspire real-world justice systems. Recent publications examine judicial evolution in speculative fiction and historical legal frameworks from antiquity to modernity.
Active in organizing academic events, he contributes to the ERMES laboratory’s initiatives, including conferences on Franco-Italian diplomatic history and cybersecurity challenges under the Ulysseus project.
