معرفی
Prof. Udo Nackenhorst is a Professor at the Institute of Mechanics and Computational Mechanics, Leibniz University Hannover. His research focuses on computational mechanics, biomechanics, and materials science, with expertise in finite element methods, stochastic analysis, and rolling contact dynamics. He holds a Dr.-Ing. from Ruhr-Universität Bochum and completed his Habilitation on dynamics of rolling bodies at Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg. His work spans tire dynamics, bone remodeling, and uncertainty quantification in engineering systems. Awards include the 2011 Teaching Prize and Richard von Mises Prize.
Key research areas include computational biomechanics, stochastic modeling of materials, and multiscale simulations. He has advised numerous studies on fatigue analysis, biofilm growth, and material behavior under uncertainty. His lab contributes to advancements in both fundamental mechanics and clinical applications like cochlear implants.
Awards highlight his teaching excellence and groundbreaking research. Ongoing work focuses on stochastic finite element methods and reduced-order modeling for complex systems.
