Uddhav Markad

Uddhav Markad is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Notre Dame’s Radiation Research Building, where he joined in 2021. His research focuses on radiolytic synthesis, catalyst development, and high-temperature water radiolysis studies. Prior to this role, he served as a Research Associate at NCL Innovation Park in India. He holds a Ph.D. from Bhabha Atomic Research Center-Savitribai Phule Pune University, India, where his thesis explored the synthesis and application of 3D palladium nanostructures for chromium remediation.

Research Interests: His work spans environmental remediation using advanced oxidation processes, nanomaterials for catalytic applications, and understanding metal ion behavior under extreme conditions. He employs radiolytic techniques to synthesize recyclable catalysts and investigates reaction mechanisms in high-temperature nuclear reactor environments.
