Tyler E. Miller

Dr. Tyler E. Miller is an Assistant Professor of Pathology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and a Pathologist at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He leads the Miller Lab, focused on developing immunotherapies for brain tumors by targeting immunosuppressive myeloid cells through single-cell genomics, spatial transcriptomics, and organoid models. His research aims to enhance CAR-T and immune checkpoint therapies' efficacy in glioblastoma and other brain tumors.

Research Interests: Dr. Miller’s work centers on overcoming tumor heterogeneity and immunotherapy resistance in brain tumors. His lab investigates mechanisms by which myeloid cells suppress anti-tumor immunity and seeks to reprogram these cells to become pro-inflammatory. Techniques include cutting-edge genomic tools and ex vivo organoid models to translate findings into clinical solutions.

Advocacy & Mentoring: Dr. Miller champions clinical trial access equity through Care Access and mentors students and clinicians. His interdisciplinary collaborations aim to bridge basic research and clinical practice to accelerate therapies for brain tumor patients.
