معرفی
Tyler Billingsley is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, with a focus on the Department of Mathematics. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from Purdue University (2020) and a BS in Mathematics with a Computer Science minor from Purdue University Calumet (2013).
- Research: Specializes in Diophantine geometry, code-based cryptography, and elliptic surfaces.
- Teaching: Courses include calculus, discrete mathematics, number theory, abstract algebra, and introduction to proofs.
His recent research (2022) explores post-quantum cryptographic algorithms and injectivity verification in elliptic surface homomorphisms. Publications in Acta Arithmetica and Journal of Number Theory highlight his contributions to number theory and cryptographic applications.
- Awards:
- Project NExT Fellow Gold '21 (Mathematical Association of America)
- TA Excellence in Teaching Award (Purdue Math Department, 2017)
Active in both theoretical and applied mathematics, Billingsley bridges algebraic geometry with modern cryptographic challenges while engaging in pedagogical innovation.
