Tsz Chan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Kennesaw State University (KSU), based at the Marietta campus. His research focuses on number theory, including topics such as sums of squares, squarefree numbers, lattice points, Diophantine approximation, and the distribution of prime numbers. He holds a B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1996) and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (2002), under the supervision of Prof. Hugh L. Montgomery. His work explores connections between number theory and areas like modular hyperbola, character sums, and Ramanujan sums. Chan is also actively engaged in mathematical problem-solving through his 'Stingers' initiative, posing challenging problems for students and enthusiasts. His office is located in D 228, with office hours MWF 10:00-11:00 am (except MW 10:30-11:00 am in D249).
