Tsuyoshi Adachi is an Associate Professor at Waseda University's School of Political Science and Economics. He holds a Doctor of Economics and an M.A. in Economics from Waseda University and previously served as a Research Associate at Takasaki City University of Economics Faculty of Economics. Adachi is a member of the Japanese Economic Association.
His research centers on theoretical economics with specialized focus on mechanism design, social choice theory, public economics, game theory, and microeconomics. Adachi's scholarly work employs rigorous axiomatic approaches to characterize economic mechanisms and allocation rules, with particular emphasis on strategy-proofness, efficiency, and fairness properties. His research spans foundational economic theories with applications to real-world decision-making problems including scientific impact measurement, jury decision-making, and resource allocation.
Adachi has published seven peer-reviewed articles with a total of 32 citations and an h-index of 3 (as of September 2025). His publications demonstrate consistent theoretical contributions across multiple domains of economic theory, with particular attention to characterization of allocation mechanisms and social choice rules under strategic behavior.
