Tsin Yen Koh is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the National University of Singapore, specializing in 18th-19th century political thought. Her research centers on Jeremy Bentham's utilitarianism, examining pleasure, asceticism, and tyranny.
Publications analyze Bentham's critique of asceticism as a political tool and his theories on cruelty's relationship to power. Current projects explore judgement in utilitarian frameworks.
