Annie KOH

Professor Annie KOH is a Founding Dean (2000-2007) and current Vice President for Business Development and External Relations at Singapore Management University (SMU). She holds academic leadership roles as Professor and Academic Director of institutes like the International Trading Institute and Financial Training Institute. Her research focuses on family businesses, investor behavior, and international finance.

Education: PhD in International Finance from New York University (Fulbright Scholar) and B.Sc. in Social Science/Economics from NUS. Prior to SMU, she was an Associate Professor at NUS and a forex trader at DBS Bank.

Research emphasizes family office dynamics, enterprise risk management, and cross-border financial strategies. Key contributions include co-authoring Financial Management: Theory and Practice (Asia Edition) and authoring a book on international business financing. Her executive education programs have partnered with global institutions like Wharton and Chicago Booth.
