Tsikalakis Antonios

Dr. Tsikalakis Antonios is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering, Hellenic University of Technology. His academic journey began with a Diploma in Electrical & Computer Engineering (2002, NTUA) and a PhD in Energy System Operation (2008, NTUA). He previously worked at HEDNO S.A. (2015–2017) and held teaching roles at Technical University of Crete and SEFE. His research focuses on optimization of energy systems, particularly in island grids with high renewable integration and storage.

• PhD: NTUA (2008) – Thesis: "Contribution to the Planning of the Operation of Electricity Distribution Networks with High Penetration of Distributed and Renewable Generation and Storage Devices"

Research & Awards: Authored 21 journal papers and 47 conference proceedings with an h-index of 19. Coordinates ERASMUS+ KA2 MESfIA program. Awarded TEE commendation for early work on renewable valuation in island networks.
