Tryfon Boukouvidis serves as an Instructor in the Department of Mass Communication within McNeese State University's College of Liberal Arts and directs the University's speech and debate team (McNeese Forensics and McNeese Debate Council), mentoring students in competitive debate and public speaking events.

His research spans Media Studies, Communication, Journalism, Political Communication, and Intercultural Communication, with a focus on economic influences on media narratives. He teaches core courses including media writing, communication strategies, intercultural communication, media history, and public speaking, emphasizing practical application of communication theories in dynamic societal contexts.
As Director of Forensics, Boukouvidis integrates academic instruction with competitive student development, fostering critical analysis and rhetorical skills through debate programs while advancing understanding of media's role in economic and political landscapes.
