Troy Ducharme is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music Research and Composition at Western University's Don Wright Faculty of Music. He specializes in teaching courses related to composition, harmony, counterpoint, orchestration, and analysis of romantic and contemporary music.
- Education: B. Mus. (Theory and Composition, 2000), M. Mus. (Composition, 2003) from Western University, and D. Mus. (Composition, 2008) from University of Toronto
His research and pedagogical interests focus on chromatic harmony, modal counterpoint, choral arranging, and instrumental arranging. He also teaches advanced orchestration and contemporary repertoire analysis at the graduate level.
