Dr. Trini Rangel serves as Faculty Athletic Representative and Associate Professor of Exercise Science at Milligan University, positions held since 2022 and 2014 respectively, with tenure awarded in Fall 2017.
His educational credentials include:
- Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from Colorado State University (1991)
- Master's of Education from Bemidji State University (1996)
- Ph.D. in Health Psychology from Walden University (2016)
Research spans Exercise Science, Health Psychology, Sports Science, and Physical Education, reflecting his academic training and professional focus on human performance and wellness.
Prior to Milligan, he spent 16 years at Houghton College in New York as instructor of physical education (10 years) and assistant professor of physical and health education (6 years), concurrently coaching men's basketball (4 seasons) and men's/women's track (6 seasons).
He is married to Barbara Rangel with four children: Tierza (four-year volleyball player at Grove City College), Chase (basketball/tennis athlete at Houghton), and youngest daughters Janae and Eliana (Milligan University graduates).
