Mahmut ALP is an Associate Professor at the Department of Movement and Exercise Sciences, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Suleyman Demirel University. With a career spanning since 2014, he has held roles from Research Assistant to his current position as Department Chairman since 2024.

- Sports Injury Analysis
- Biomechanics of Athletic Performance
- Plyometric and Functional Training
- Youth Sports Development
Publications focus on sports science applications across tennis, swimming, basketball, volleyball, and combat sports, with particular emphasis on:
- Anthropometric relationships with performance
- Stretching protocols and muscle strength
- Agility and power training
- Physiological responses in athletes
Advising includes supervising PhD and Master's theses on topics like Conceptual Physical Education, Contrast Training in Basketball, and Fatigue Models in Volleyball.
