Trine Pallesen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Organization, Copenhagen Business School. Her research bridges economic sociology and science and technology studies, focusing on markets as policy instruments for collective concerns like renewable energy systems.

She teaches courses such as "Creating markets for sustainable products" and "Transformationsledelse (HA Pro)" and serves as study director for the BSc programme in Business Administration and Project Management. Her publications span journals like Economy and Society, Journal of Cultural Economy, and Perspectives on Public Management and Governance, with a focus on market design for sustainability. She is currently co-editor-in-chief of Valuation Studies.
Selected publications highlight her work on renewable energy markets, behavioral assumptions in public governance, and the sociotechnical challenges of decarbonization. Her recent articles (2025–2023) analyze wind power economics, market interventions in policy, and the role of institutional frameworks in sustainability transitions.
Past projects include research on innovative market re-making for wind-based energy systems. She has no reported outside activities from 2018 to 2024.
