Tricia Vesely serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Religious Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, holding a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Union Presbyterian Seminary.

Dr. Vesely's research specializes in ethical frameworks within biblical interpretation, particularly the wisdom literature of the Hebrew Bible. She authored "Friendship and Virtue Ethics in the Book of Job" (Cambridge University Press, 2019) and is developing a second book on character language in the Hebrew Bible. Her scholarly interests extend to gender dynamics in religious contexts, tragedy's role in moral development, and cross-faith ethical dialogue. She maintains advanced proficiency in biblical Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic, with additional studies in classical Arabic, Ugaritic, Moabite, and Phoenician.
She teaches core courses including Human Spirituality (RELS 108), Introduction to the Hebrew Bible (RELS 301), Global Ethics and World Religions (RELS 340), and Gender and the Bible (RELS 373). Beyond academia, she contributes as an accompanist for the Richmond Ballet.
