Tricia Clarke

Dr. Tricia Clarke is an Assistant Professor and reference librarian at the University of the District of Columbia Community College, specializing in folklore, library science, and English literature. Her work focuses on cultural heritage preservation, affective dimensions of librarianship (including library anxiety and belonging), and Caribbean speculative fiction.

• BA in Communication: Global Journalism from Drexel University

Her research explores the intersection of personal narratives in reference interviews and the cultural implications of open educational resources (OER). Recent presentations highlight innovative approaches to library instruction and equitable access to academic materials.

Dr. Clarke actively contributes to the Washington Research Library Consortium's Textbook Affordability Working Group and has presented at national conferences such as ACRL/NY and the National Conference of African American Librarians.
