Tricia Brown serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Education at the University of Vermont's College of Education and Social Services. She teaches Middle Level and Secondary Education courses including Educational Technology for Secondary Teachers, Teaching Young Adolescents, School and Society, and Middle Level Place-Based Practicum, while coordinating the Secondary Education Master of Arts in Teaching program and supervising student practicum experiences.
Her educational background includes:
- M.S. in Educational Technology from Johns Hopkins University
- B.S. in Secondary Education, Biology and Chemistry from Central Michigan University
Her research centers on project-based curriculum development and education for sustainability, integrating STEM education principles with universal design methodologies. She explores place-based and experiential learning frameworks to enhance middle and secondary educational practices, with particular focus on personalized learning contexts and teacher dispositions.
