Trey Hock is an Assistant Professor of Filmmaking and Photography, focusing on narrative exploration through short films, screenwriting, installation, photography, performance, and social media platforms. His work interrogates social and physical constructs, including public/private spaces and personal identity.
Education: B.A. in English, Creative Writing (Kansas State University, 1997); M.F.A. in Writing and Directing for Film and Television (Savannah College of Art and Design, 2007).
Research interests include the power dynamics of self-representation through selfies on Instagram, the photographic frame's role in storytelling, and the intersection of digital platforms with identity. His short films have screened at Sundance and other international festivals.
